Actually, teaching a professional code of public conduct is probably an important life lesson for students. 

Moreover . . . Focus groups and politicized conversation is also good training for workers planning to do something besides take fast food orders.

The new rules might irk reactionaries who lament that they can't conduct themselves as if they're writing from their mom's basement in their underwear . . . Of course TKC disagrees whilst still understanding their frustration . . . Check-it . . .

"The school board at its most recent meeting last month voted 7-0 to update the student handbook, changes that also included spelling out specific discipline for discrimination and harassment. Christy Ziegler, the district’s chief of student services, said the update stems from focus groups and roundtable discussions with students over the winter."
