MO Sen. Schmitt Name Checks Kansas City In 'Make America Safe Again' RNC Speech

Reality check . . . Most of the networks ignored him.

However . . .

It kinda sucks that a Missouri Senator used his platform to trash the two most populous cities in his state and signals an unsustainable "conservative" attitude toward population centers that have marked the upward ascent of humanity throughout the history of Western Civilization. 

To be clear . . . He's not wrong about crime . . . It's just that there's more to both KC & STL than just our homicide count. 

In fairness, here's what he had to say that earned a great deal of support at the event . . . 

Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt drew attention to crime rates over the years in Kansas City and St. Louis, which regularly make headlines.

The former Missouri Attorney General’s speech highlighted the need to defend law enforcement and hold criminals accountable.

“The rule of law has disintegrated. Crime is rampant,” said Schmitt. “Our communities are under siege. Our brave law enforcement officers are constantly being vilified. He (Joe Biden) stood idly by as liberal DAs and mayors pushed the defund police agenda.”
