MU chancellor Mun Choi announced Tuesday that the University will eliminate the division tasked to lead DEI initiatives, following state and national political pressures. The announcement comes one week after Maurice Gibson, the Vice Chancellor over the division, shared he will leave the University on Aug. 15.
The University says it will reorganize its efforts to support all students, faculty and staff by moving the supports to different offices on campus.
