“What we’re looking for is for them to enforce the regulations, being able to address those companies that aren’t meeting the guidelines and not putting forth the good faith effort to make this stuff happen,” a protester said when asked what he wanted Mayor Lucas to do about private companies hiring more minority workers. “That’s what we want the mayor’s office to do. We want them to step up, answer these questions, be able to put a good faith and a good foot forward to make this stuff happen.”

KCMO construction board complains of policy violations on city projects
