Here's a statement from the courthouse that hopes to continue the progress . . .
Jean Peters Baker posted on social media Saturday, saying Kansas City, Missouri, has had a 25% reduction in homicides so far this year when looking at 2023's numbers. Peters Baker added Independence, Lee's Summit and Raytown are also seeing declines.

"I'm encouraged by those numbers but also our collaboration with community and police through SAVeKC," she wrote on X.
