Lee's Summit Crash Sends Car Airborne, Kills Teen, Injures 5 As Police Suspect DWI

Again, we normally don't blog car crashes but this Summer tragedy reminds us of danger on local streets and the danger of death machines for students.

Here are the basics . . .

A Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report stated that a 2022 Honda HR-V and a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt were driving southbound on Milton Thompson Road approaching U.S. Highway 50 just after 9 p.m. when they blew threw a stop sign.

The report indicated that at the intersection of Highway 50, the cars struck a highway median and went airborne.

Holden 15-year-old dies, 5 other teens injured in DWI-suspected crash

Six teenagers, all from Holden, Missouri, were involved in a fatal crash on Tuesday evening in eastern Jackson County.
