Kansas City Stays Winning EV Charging

Just a bit of good news about saving the planet . . .

Compared to cities of similar size . . . Kansas City offers a great many EV charging options wherein locals can hang out in parking lots like walking targets.

Of course, we obliged to share a more optimistic view that we've "liberated" from the local biz mag . . .

"The size of Kansas City’s public charging network far outpaces those of five peer cities, including St. Louis. That’s according to data from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuels Data Center.

"Kansas City, Missouri, has built up a network of 898 EV-charging ports. A vast majority of those are Level 2 chargers, which can charge an EV in four to eight hours."

Although Kansas City's EV-charging network is nowhere near the size of cities in California or Florida, KCMO's charging infrastructure does outpace many peer cities.
