Kansas City Offers Outdoor Dining Grants

A legacy of the pandemic era endures and some local, small restaurants might qualify for help so that customers can endure blazing heat or windy days whilst trying to enjoy a salad.

To be fair . . .

Many savvy locals have figured out that a fancy patio offers an excuse to spike prices by at least another 20% for any place wherein cowtown patrons might be able to take a cute selfie.

Accordingly . . . Check the offer and always be careful when doing biz with 12th & Oak . . .

"The  Kansas City Outdoor Dining Enhancement Grant Program is offering eligible restaurants an opportunity to apply for grants of up to $15,000 to enhance their outdoor dining spaces.

"This program aligns with the City's broader goals of fostering a thriving local economy, supporting small businesses, and creating vibrant, community-oriented neighborhoods. This initiative, sponsored by Mayor Quinton Lucas and Second District Councilman Wes Rogers, will allocate $200,000 from the Convention and Tourism Fund to local restaurants to enhance their dining spaces."
