Kansas City Mayor Q Shares Defund Police Amendment 4 Opposition

The TLDR . . .

This measure passed by an EPIC margin last time around but was repealed because the ballot language was sketchy. Now the polling suggests it'll PROBABLY pass again BUT Mayor Q continues his opposition for securing police cash. 

Locals news is downplaying the election fight but this report puts KC's 12th & Oak boss at center stage:

"Amendment 4 affects local funding and state oversight for Kansas City police. Supporters say “adequate funding is needed” to keep this big-city community safe, but the mayor of Kansas City since 2019, Quinton Lucas, opposes the proposed amendment because it “takes power” from local officials."
