We notice that their show demurred from the iconic fist pump image and instead focused on local security.
There's was even an old school remembrance of that time when former Mayor Sly suffered a scare on stage . . . Fun fact . . . TKC was at that old school state of the city speech at the Gem Theater and nobody on the panel was there . . . Maybe Mary Sanchez might have been . . . It should be noted that the dude (who was also participated in a great deal of local politics) never tried to touch former mayor Sly despite a very close and uninvited/unsanctioned proximity in an attempt to grab the mic and share his grievances. So we're not sure if that comparison was fair.
Nevertheless . . . Here's the weekend aftermath discussion and a glimpse at KC's politics from local newsies this week . . .
"Nick Haines, Mary Sanchez, Kris Ketz, Brian Ellison and Dave Helling discuss the local reaction to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the changes to security protocols for politicians, Eric Schmitt's Republican Convention appearance and potential future if Trump is elected, escalating urgency for World Cup prep, advanced voting, primary election issues, the Chiefs Hallmark movie and more."
