The study by LendingTree used insurance claim data from the 50 largest cities in the U.S. to determine how many traffic incidents were speeding-related. This included speeding tickets or accidents where speeding was determined to be a factor.

Kansas City, Mo., came in second with 9.45 per 1,000 drivers, followed closely by Jacksonville, Fla. with 9.01.

The solution . . . 

"One hundred new speed humps could be coming to around 50 locations across Kansas City, Missouri.

"The effort is part of the city's initiative to reduce traffic crashes and fatalities."
