When team chairman and CEO Clark Hunt met with reporters after the team’s second training camp practice at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph on Monday, he had the same goal. He characterized a question about how much he had thought about moving the team to Kansas “premature” because the team still has more than six years left on the lease for its home in Jackson County’s Truman Sports Complex.
“GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is a special place,” said Hunt. “It’s special for our fans. It’s special for the players and coaches.
“But we do have to look to the future. We do need to find a solution starting in 2031 — which I know that Mark mentioned."
