Did Harrison Butker Bear False Witness Against Sexy Olympics?!?

Let's start with a quick review . . .

"Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who is open about his Christian values, was shocked by the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony, which featured drag queens recreating Jesus Christ’s the Last Supper."

However, after the dust has settled . . . It seems that this narrative is winning out online . . .

Thomas Jolly, the artistic director for the ceremony, told French news channel BFM TV on Sunday that the inspiration for that scene was the Greek god Dionysus, according to NBC’s “Today.” His comments come after the opening ceremony included a scene that some said looked like Leonardo da Vinci’s painting of the Last Supper.

Anne Descamps, a spokesperson for the 2024 Paris Olympics, apologized at a press conference if people took offense to it but emphasized that that was not their intention.

“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. On the contrary, I think that Thomas Jolly really tried to celebrate community tolerance,” Descamps said at a press conference on Saturday. “We believe that this ambition was achieved.”

From our perspective . . .

We believe that Mr. Butker deserves more than a bit of grace given that the defense "evolved" over the weekend and we can't expect the dude to be an expert in every type of Western mythology.

Moreover . . .

Forgive our snark which is not intended to be blasphemous . . . Arguing over the sh*tty French Olympics might be more useless than the ongoing debate over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
