Kansas City Westside Leader Charlie Lona Passes Away

Sad news to report this evening . . .

Beloved Kansas City Westside leader, small business owner and political activist Charlie Lona passed away last night after a prolonged illness. 

News readers might remember Mr. Lona for his recent work in a property tax assessment fight against Jackson County. 

He proved instrumental in building a coalition across the metro during several protests and local efforts to achieve tax relief.
