"Since the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year, students at KCPS have grappled with the challenges of unreliable bus transportation. Throughout the year, both KCPS and STA have frequently canceled bus routes, forcing parents to seek alternative transportation for their children. This has resulted in students arriving late to school or not being able to attend school altogether."

Zum is new bus provider for Kansas City Public Schools
After a year of unreliable bus service from Student Transportation of America, KCPS switches to Zum in getting students to and from school.
Zum Services holds hiring event for bus drivers, attendants for Kansas City Public Schools district
On Tuesday, Zum Services told KSHB 41 News they are looking to hire 110 bus drivers and 50 bus attendants for the upcoming school year for Kansas City Public Schools.
