Kansas City Hard Rock Band Burning Bush Produces KICK-ASS Cassette Demo

Here's something special for our most loyal readers . . .

This isn't a promo but, instead, something that locals might appreciate given the intricate fusion betwixt old tech, aggressive music and local journalism . . . Which pretty sums up most of our cultural interests here at TKC.

Accordingly . . .

Tonight we take a listen to the cassette demo from Kansas City's BURNING BUSH.

Apropos for Mother's Day . . . They're loud, kinda dark and very angry.

Have work to do tonight and need a soundtrack??? Listen to the latest release from Burning Bush in its entirety via Spotify.

Also . . .

For those of us on the wrong side of 40 and then some . . . Their shows hearken back to 90s-era basement alternative rock meetups & empty strip mall store jam sessions before mobile phone technology ruined American social life.

A closer look . . .

The band seems serious about their punk rock roots but we found this more stylized clip of a recent show that offers a moody look at these locals by way of iconic black & white footage:

For those who really know their stuff about Kansas City's music scene . . .

Burning Bush front man is Aaron Rhodes - A rising star Kansas City music journalist and all around good guy. Local listeners already know that Shuttlecock is pretty the only local music publication that matters.

One last thing for those of us who still venture outdoors from time to time . . .

Burning Bush is playing this year's Manor Fest on a showcase with Flooding and Collidescope at Big Mood Natural Wines on June 1.

For music fans amongst our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community . . . That'll be a worthwhile show and/or an opportunity for "equal time" with a lady friend in exchange for tolerating a whole year of Taylor Swift music.

Developing . . .
