But I didn't think our ruffian readers would get the joke . . . And might not know that Monet's work often confronts criticism because it's not REALLY art anymore and kinda just represents institutional capital.
Nevertheless . . .
We continue our efforts to class up this place and offer this artsy tidbit for consideration:
"The Nelson-Atkins Museum of art in Kansas City, Mo., and the family of a donor are selling Moulin de Limetz, a 1888 painting by Claude Monet, at a Christie’s 20th-century evening auction in May for an estimated price of up to US$25 million."
