Like the monumental stadium vote, Chastain's monumental legal case against the City & Mayor Lucas will determine the course of Kansas City's future. The stakes are high as the sky: Can an unscrupulous government crush a citizen's free political speech, then maliciously arrest that citizen & then maliciously prosecute that citizen in order to criminalize and delegitimize that citizen & interfere with an election?
Since Mayor Lucas refuses to apologize to former Mayoral Candidate Chastain for his mean, discriminatory prosecution of Chastain (that was driven by personal and political animus), we wait for 16th Circuit Court Judge Castle's ruling on the City's Motion to Dismiss Chastain's lawsuit against the City.
Like the radical left is trying to destroy Trump, Mayor Lucas and the City employed similar "lawfare" against Chastain by bringing spurious criminal charges against Chastain right before a KC election (a KC Judge threw out the City's bogus charges).
It should be self-evident to many that if, say, a member of KC tenants had come to City Hall to protest on City Council day that individual would never have been stopped, arrested and prosecuted. The only reason I was treated differently is because my name is Chastain - not because I broke any law.
It is anti-American, unlawful and reprehensible for those with power to weaponize the law in order to destroy their political opponents.
