CLAY COUNTY SHARING DEETS ON RECENT NKC GUNFIRE OFFERS CRITICAL PERSPECTIVE ON HOW QUICKLY SHOOTING CAN START!!!
Here's the latest statement that's worth reading in order to stay aware in public given that so many of us have found ourselves in the middle of similar situations . . .
"Clay County prosecutor Zachary Thompson stated that “two groups of young men” left the North Kansas City basketball game a little before 6 p.m. A member of one of the groups yelled at the second group while keeping a hand concealed, a witness told investigators.
"The prosecutor detailed that one person fired a shot, and then three people from the opposite group drew firearms and began shooting.
"Two people were wounded in the shooting, one who was not associated with either group, the other being associated with one of the groups. The second victim had a firearm and fired his weapon one time, Thompson said.
"Thompson said a total of five people from the groups shot firearms, and that all five had their guns while inside the North Kansas City High School gym.
"Investigators recovered 50 shell casings at the scene of the shooting."
