And yet another example of how Mayor Q and council don't really seem to realize how much power Republicans in Jeff City have over their adventures.

Here's one more example . . .

In a 113-30 vote the Missouri House passed a bill designed to allow communities to be involved in the development of landfills that border their towns and cities.

Current state law allows adjoining communities to approve or reject any landfill within a half mile of its limits. The proposed bill would extend that to a mile.

There is a proposed landfill in Kansas City, Mo., but it’s less than a mile from a Raymore neighborhood. If the bill is eventually signed into law it would give Raymore the power to reject the development and kill plans for the landfill.
