Report: KCMO City Manager Desperately Seeking New Job In Austin

It looks like traveling music is playing for a controversial Kansas City bureaucrat.

Let's not forget that the highlight of his cowtown career might have been getting called out for his Pinocchio style of management by a local former newsie with a lot of friends.

Of course . . .

This leads us to a new fight confronting Mayor Q that he might not win.

Either way here's a peek at his impending departure and Mayor Q's response . . .

"Kansas City, Missouri, City Manager Brian Platt is a finalist for a job as the city manager of Austin, Texas, a spokesperson for the city confirmed on Monday . . . KCMO Mayor Quinton Lucas said on X (formerly Twitter) said his office would take efforts to keep Platt in Kansas City. "

KSHB: Platt, who hired as KCMO's city manager in 2020, is among three finalists for the job. He joins T.C. Broadnax of Dallas, Texas, and Sara Hensley of Denton, Texas, — both current city managers in their respective cities — as a finalist.
