It seems that an outpouring of sympathy and support from throughout the metro and the world has not yet been distributed according to the local news.
It seems that Taylor Swift was able to provide cash help far more efficiently than a group of professionals who have a HUGE ORGANIZATION dedicated to doing the same thing. Only very slowly.
Here's the word:
"Generous donors poured more than $1.2 million into the KC Strong Fund to support victims and other causes.
"Now FOX4 has learned United Way of Greater Kansas City has not dispersed any of that money yet, and they’re not sure if they’ll be able to help all of the victims affected.
"We’ve talked with multiple families who have inquired as to when they’ll receive help and why they’ve heard little from United Way."
