Kansas Hearing On Student 'Trans Rights' Sparks 'Painful' Feelings

Right now we share the aftermath report and a quick rhetorical note . . .

Compassion for trans students is where so many conservatives are losing this argument in the mainstream media.

To be certain . . . So many toilet rules & debating might never merit serious consideration.

However . . .

When we've talked to many conservatives about the trans issue and now it might apply to students, we've noted that they're also motivated by a REAL CONCERN for the future of youngsters enduring intense pressure from society during a time that's confusing for even the most confident young people — It's that sentiment that almost NEVER comes through amid MSM debate wherein right-wing trolls are content to play the villain whilst legislators and many advocates on the conservative side do, in fact, have a more compassionate & nuanced view of the discussion.

Check-it:

"The hearing was practically a rerun of proceedings last year when the Republicans who dominate the Legislature pushed through a similar bill, which was vetoed by Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly.

"The obvious motivation behind the Senate hearing was to accommodate the travel schedules of the professional out-of-state activists brought to Topeka to testify in a House hearing, also Thursday.

"The Senate hearing was, as I said, fairly balanced. But in the end, it still sends a harmful message to LGBTQ children struggling to understand their identity and where they fit into society.

" 'We’re doing harm to these kids who have to keep hearing over and over that they aren’t worthy to be here,' said Amanda Mogoi, a Wichita nurse practitioner with more than 2,000 LGBTQIA+ patients, and Kansas’ only health care provider certified by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health."
