Election debate has many locals losing sight of recent history and how so many Kansas City developer promises have materialized over time.
New KCI has been a massive disappointment in terms of accessibility and planning.
The new soccer "doll house" is a parking disaster that doesn't offer much consideration for anyone with mobility issues . . .
And now . . .
INSIDERS WARN THAT DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY ROYALS DESIGNS SEEM "SMALLISH" AND NOTHING AT ALL LIKE OTHER MAJOR LEAGUE URBAN PARKS!!!
Top echelon insiders have been kind enough to send this word our way . . .
"Listen and look closely . . . There's nobody calling this an 'ambitious' project. It's downsizing for the future of the team and Major League Baseball in general . . . The scale is a lot smaller than most people might realize and far more compact in order to fit near the loop. In fact, this might achieve the new record for the tiniest stadium in the league."
It gets worse . . . Here's the talking points that we've heard back . . .
"The comparison that we're getting back is that Fennway Park only has capacity for about 37,500 but that'll look massive compared to only 34,000 for the new Downtown KC Royals stadium. That'll also have implications for higher ticket prices and fewer good seats for fans on a budget."
And here's where insiders told us to drill down and look for more clues . . .
And so . . .
KANSAS CITY IS VOTING TO BUILD THE SMALLEST STADIUM CAPACITY IN MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL!!!
Check the numbers and do the math for yourself . . .
Again, our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community does not make election endorsements but we think that voters need to understand their options PRECISELY . . . And the Question 1 discussion has glossed over the inconvenient fact that KC is actually CHOOSING LAST PLACE for local baseball's future.
Developing . . .
