Gutfeld Roasts Kansas City Mayor Q

For many of our conservative friends, Mayor Q's criticism of Missouri Governor Parson's "thugs" terminology in the aftermath of the Kansas City Super Bowl rally mass shooting sparked intense reaction and criticism.

Disgust with Mayor Q's rhetorical strategy has resonated and now hits the national talk show circuit.

Thanks to the help of AWESOME TKC READERS . . . We wanted to share what might be the best critique of Mayor Q so far this week . . .

To wit . . .

FOX TALKER GREG GUTFELD RIDICULES KANSAS CITY MAYOR Q OVER DISPUTING THE TERM "THUGS" FOLLOWING DEADLY MASS SHOOTING TRAGEDY!!!

Now, the push back is funny but here at TKC was try to provide at least a modicum of analysis . . .

We understand why Mayor Q used this tactic . . . It shifted the conversation to a culture war narrative wherein the sides have already been decided. Mayor Q doesn't need Gutfeld fans to like him and, even better, critics of Fox news and Republicans in general now have a reason to rally to Mayor Q's side.

Divisive??? Sure but still very effective . . . When all of Kansas City was soul searching for leadership following tragedy and coming to a painfully abrupt realization that local violence now seems out of control and does, in fact, impact the daily lives of hundreds of thousands of people every day . . . MAYOR Q CHANGED THE NARRATIVE so effectively that even indignant reaction served to distract the vast majority of onlookers from the core issue: Kansas City has become historically unsafe during the tenure of Quinton Lucas.

American culture war serves its purpose and divides us into far more manageable demographics. Meanwhile, the reality is that the overwhelming majority of ALL Kansas City residents want to live in peace and our elected officials have FAILED to prioritize public safety despite access to more resources than nearly any other place in the world.

We apologize . . . Exposition is the most effective way to ruin a joke.

And so . . .

We clipped comments from Gutfeld's latest monologue concerning KC so that we could all enjoy.
