Given the amount of education and training required to teach in Missouri . . . The economic mostly don't work for recent graduates.

And so we share this fact check when some of our stodgy friends ask why more than a few teachers moonlight on OnlyFans. 

Here's an update and a ray of hope . . .

For full-time teachers with at least 10 years of public teaching experience and a master's degree, Missouri requires a minimum salary of $33,000.

MNEA ranks the state of Missouri as last in average starting teacher salaries, with an average of $34,052.

During his final State of the State on Wednesday, Gov. Mike Parson said increasing minimum teacher salaries is a priority for the fiscal year 2025 budget.
