Mayor Q Tours D.C. Amid Kansas City Mass Shooting & Stadium Crisis

At the outset of 2024, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas has provided a glimpse at his management strategy for the remainder of his term. 

To wit . . .

MAYOR Q HAS SEEMINGLY CHECKED OUT OF KANSAS CITY & NOW MERELY SENDS SOCIAL MEDIA NOTES AMID D.C. MEETINGS!!!

At least Nero had the decency to play his subjects a few songs whilst Rome burned. 

A few things to consider this week . . .

- Insiders warned our blog community FIRST that Northeast is in a desperate fight so that they don't become a homeless "low-barrier" dumping ground. 

- A mass shooting at Crown Center reminds us that the so-called "downtown renaissance" is harder to maintain then we ever imagined and the mayor's absence after this shocking spate of gunfire sends a message that his priorities that are focused on his political future and not this town's most pressing crisis. 

- Finally, the stadium deal is CLEARLY falling apart. Support from the mayor for either more deets from the team that justify the demands of the Executive OR peeling off veto override votes would be helpful. Again, instead the mayor is chatting with the Veep.

Don't worry, it gets worse . . . 

Today Mayor Q plays talking head on MSNBC with other talk show appearances scheduled as Kansas City stands on the precipice of several major changes . . . None of them for the better.
