Kansas City Chiefs Need Dome At Arrowhead

Today, more than 70,000 people will gather at Arrowhead in subzero temperatures in a testament archaic design and a stunning lack of corporate and political concern for the populace who fund heavily taxpayer subsidized football games.

Long story short and given recent backroom deals to continue giving away HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS worth of taxpayer funds to both Kansas City Chiefs & Royals . . .

JACKSON COUNTY MUST FINALLY CONSIDER BUILDING AN ARROWHEAD DOME RATHER THAN RISKING THE SAFETY OF DIEHARD FANS!!!

A few more considerations in hopes that our betters come up with something more practical than the dumb-a$$ rolling roof scheme that FAILED back when this blog was first starting out . . .

Putting a retractable dome on the current Arrowhead stadium would be an engineering marvel worthy of international acclaim that would rightfully earn local hype rather than pay desperate publication under that table . . . Which we all know is standard operating procedure for this town's sleaziest tourism group.

We're probably going to tear down Kauffman stadium so a new dome for the Arrowhead site isn't so much of a stretch.

Having 70,000+ people risk exposure to arctic weather conditions is just a dumb idea and represents bad design from the 1960s that was finally put into place back in 1972. Half a century ago NFL schedules weren't as long and ill-prepared fans losing a few fingers or toes wasn't that big of a deal. Thankfully, things have changed.

Again . . .

Given that the people of Jackson County will be spending EPIC MONEY FOR MORE THAN A GENERATION for this sports complex . . . A new dome, especially a retractable one like the fancy new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia are worth considering given the exceptional commitment of taxpayers.

Developing . . .
