Kansas City Old School Newspaper Story Christmas Tradition

Long, long ago . . . There was thing thing called a "newspaper" wherein people picked up a printed publication on some random corner along with coffee and junk food so they could occupy their time, avoid talking to other people and pretend that they knew what was going on in the world.

There are still a few practitioners of this ancient craft who are still around. 

And so tonight we check-in with a formerly top ranking news man who also remains this town's leading scribe on the topic of faith & moral.

Here's his intro to an old school local story he posted . . .

"It draws on the characters in a manger scene that was in my family's home when I grew up in Woodstock, Ill. I hope you enjoy it, even if you've read it before, perhaps even when it was first published more than four decades ago."
