Kansas City 2023 Homicide #176: Gunshot Kills East Side Victim

Right now we note the second deadly homicide in less than 24 hours for Kansas City as we approach another record breaking year for local killing.

The tragic circumstances confronting our cowtown as the holidays approach . . .

KANSAS CITY NOW STANDS LESS THAN FIVE HOMICIDES AWAY FROM RECORDING THE DEADLIEST YEAR IN OUR HISTORY!!!

In all likelihood the record will be shattered . . . And yes, the victims are MORE THAN STATISTICS.

BUT THE STATS ARE IMPORTANT.

Beyond rhetoric and politics, the numbers provide an objective view of local violence that outpaces the days of the Wild West or the Roaring 20s & 30s gangster era . . .  This crisis continues despite lack of political will or public concern to do anything beyond repeating the same deadly patterns.

That's our opinion informed by the numbers . . . Here's the first report:

Homicide 4400 block of Garfield
