South Kansas City Leaders Advocate Against Yet Another Gas Station

Real talk . . .

Blue Ridge Blvd is jam packed with all manner of sketchy places to fill-up and maybe get shot. And so residents are well within their rights to speak up against yet another offering.

The downside . . . Most South Side Kansas City gas stations are EXTREMELY SKETCHY and almost none of them offer discount pizza or decent coffee.

A small group of neighbors met at the location on Wednesday, each who live around the Ruskin Heights and Hickman Mills neighborhoods. The group says theres enough gas stations.

"If you look at the gas stations in our community and you look at a crime map, youll see a huge overlap," said Brandon Wright, co-chair of Hickman Mills United Neighborhoods.
