"New biometric facial recognition technology has been in place since the new Kansas City International Airport opened in February and Thanksgiving put it to the test. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol reports the process is working and processing time has been cut down by 30 percent."

KCI international travel processing time reduced by 30 percent thanks to new facial recognition technology

Tuesday is the last day of the 12-day Thanksgiving travel period. U.S. Customs reports many passengers flying out of KCI have traveled to and from Mexico and that its biometric procedures are helping to streamline the process for passengers.
