A trend from the Sunflower State . . . More elected officials are giving up quests for money and power given an increasingly angry electorate that is openly hostile to local leaders.
Here's the word . . .
"With Election Day coming up on Tuesday, some officials administering the vote remain relatively new to the job. At least 34% of Kansas counties have election overseers who weren’t in office for the 2020 presidential election. Three of the four urban positions filled by Secretary of State Scott Schwab have turned over during that period as well. Departures in election administration are a national trend being driven by a variety of factors, including burnout and harassment."
