It's not very often that a local journalist delves into the sordid biz of fight promotion but right now the sketchy work of a public radio newsie deserves attention. 

To wit . . . 

KCUR NEWSIE LISA RODRIGUEZ GLEEFULLY PREDICTS "VERY REAL CIVIL UNREST" IF MISSOURI GOVERNOR PARSON DECIDES TO PARDON FORMER KCPD DETECTIVE ERIC DEVALKENAERE!!!

In fact we're being very nice and charitable when we say prediction . . . Because her words seem more like encouragement. 

And, from the perspective of a scumbag Westside blogger . . . Here's what's concerning about her words:

If TKC or any dude with even a modicum of bass in his voice threatened this kind reaction to an official action, we'd be in very REAL trouble. Only a middle-class white lady with great hair and perfect makeup can get away with this kind of flexing. 

Even worse . . .

We're not sure if the anger/concern/civil unrest is a genuine reflection of community sentiment. It's a bit of a stretch to claim that urban residents are just waiting around to riot for a guy who has been dead for nearly five years. Of course activists and opportunists are well known for inciting outrage. But that's NOT the job of a journalist.

Now . . . We're sure Ms. Rodriguez is pure of heart and maybe her zeal to describe potential rioting was merely a bit of excitement about her job that usually goes ignored by most people under 40.
