Kansas City Talker Hartzell Denounces Israel 'Occupation & Apartheid' After Attacks

Recently, we've noticed many progressive locals sharing sketchy statements in the aftermath of horrific terrorist attacks in Israel.

Now, one of Kansas City's most beloved talkers and the owner of many fancy hats chimes in with a surprisingly radical perspective.

First . . . For those who don't know the guy . . . We've talked about him a few times on this blog. After we highlighted him earlier this year, hipsters did a nice update of his résumé. 

Here are the basics . . . 

"Hartzell Gray is Sporting KC’s in-stadium host and hype man.

"When he’s not pumping up the crowd at Children’s Mercy Park, Hartzell is the host of the KC Morning Show podcast. He is also an alternative rock DJ on 96.5."

About 48 hours ago, he responded to an X/Twitter statement from a disgraced KCMO commish nominee on the topic of war and alleged Antisemitism . . . 

In fact . . . Hartzell encouraged the activist who noted the "genocidal intentions" of Israel . . . His response to a tweet attempting to dispute reasonable allegations of antisemitism . . .

"We got your back." 

Accordingly, TKC asked Hartzell for his opinion on the crisis. 

We feel like it's important to the cowtown discourse and local journalism to document the stunning response he shared with www.TonysKansasCity.com. 

In our view, he wrongly paints Israel as the bad guy in the aftermath of horrific terror attacks . . .

Again . . . He's mischaracterizing the situation even as his advocacy for peace seems to whitewash his decidedly callous commentary.
