As far as we know . . . Kansas City Talker Scott Parks still hasn't returned to talk radio amid a great deal of speculation about his absence.
For anybody who surfs the cowtown Internets . . . We've seen all manner of notes about personal drama and plenty of social media innuendo along with unconfirmed court dox.
Nevertheless . . .
None of the ALLEGED personal drama surrounding Mr. Parks is relevant to the local discourse or even provides relevant debate with his ever-evolving and sketchy politics.
If KMBZ Daytime host Scott Parks wants to talk about his personal life, we'll eagerly listen . . . But until then that's his business.
Nevertheless . . .
Call it fair play or bad Karma . . . Scott Parks has been merciless to his political adversaries during his career on the mic in Kansas City. And NOW that same vitriol is being sent back his way amid his ongoing hiatus.
Here at www.TonysKansasCity.com we actually look forward to his return if only because his conversations about NOTHING with co-host Dana serve as an interesting counterpoint to our more relevant online conversations regarding politics & culture.
Accordingly . . .
Tonight we dedicate this TKC playlist to the chattering class whilst the world is at war.
This somewhat current tune from Khalid offers a nice mix of electronica along with R&B to start us out on a smooth note . . .
Here's another recent tune from Harry Styles about a white dude with a lot of problems . . .
And because this weekly musical interlude is dedicated to nostalgia, we're sharing this 1979 Euro-trash tune that has always been one of our guilty pleasures . . .
Online talk always has a tendency to turn tawdry. So, this 1990 classic hip-hop anthem seems apropos:
One last word on loose talk with this 1980s anthem backed by big hair and a baseline that still holds up from The Romantics . . .
As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe & fun Saturday night . . .
