Kansas City Mayor Q Pledges To Maintain Israeli Flag On The Plaza

This evening Mayor Q notes a symbolic but important gesture . . . We can only hope he's committed to curbing vandalism throughout Kansas City urban areas as well . . . Check-it:

Flags of the countries with which Kansas City has sister city relationships are displayed on the bridge.

One of them is Ramla, Israel.

"Recently, we’ve dealt with vandalism and theft of Israeli flags positioned on our Sister Cities Bridge," Lucas said on a social media post. "When we learned, we bought and raised a new flag, recognizing Ramla, sister city Israel. We hope it’s unnecessary, but Kansas City will continue to replace, raise, and fly the flag proudly."

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said Friday that Israeli flags on the Sister Cities Bridge on the Country Club Plaza have been vandalized or stolen.
