"During the shutdown, the WWE Supershow was being hosted inside the T-Mobile Center. The Cornucopia Festival in the Power and Light District concluded for the night at 9 p.m."
Here is the word from Kansas City Police shared with local media . . .
"A shooting has occurred at approximately 9pm tonight outside the T-Mobile Center and several victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.
"As a result the T-Mobile Center initiated a shut down for safety. The shut down has since been lifted and the scene is secure."
Police report there does NOT appear to be an ongoing threat at this time.
UPDATE . . .
"On 10/14/23 at 2056 hours, officers were dispatched to 13th and Grand Ave on a sound of shots. Officers in the area advised that there was a shooting at the intersection of 13th and McGee, with multiple victims injured from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to area hospitals and were in stable condition. As a result of the shooting the T-mobile Center had to be locked down during the WWE event."
