Upcoming Kansas City Wheel Inspires Excitement & Skepticism

An age-old tourist attraction and yet another entertainment district is sparking a ton of local media hype along with low-key skepticism about the downtown economy based mostly on drinking games. 

A few key reminder for this discussion . . . 

- As we've noted previously, Kansas City has too many entertainment district and neighborhoods question if building a vast array of boozing party places holds any benefit for taxpayers. 

- Local media presser coverage might overestimates the tourism value . . . Ferris wheels are a novelty and a great Instagram trap but are they a sustainable biz model?!?

- An upcoming parking nightmare . . . Yes, we can have it both ways. Old codger in Kansas City criticize both the viability of the attraction and accommodations for visitors which threaten to spill into nearby communities.
