For the record . . .
RECENT FAUX "STUDY" REPORTING IS NOT KANSAS CITY NEWS, IT'S PROPAGANDA PAID FOR BY LOBBYISTS & CORPORATIONS!!!
Anybody who reports this garbage without a great many questions & LEGIT skepticism might as well be on the payroll of the companies pushing an exceptionally sketchy plan.
Again . . .
Insiders admit that the South Loop cover up is nothing more than a beatification & noise reduction project at the behest of luxury apartment owners AND the convention hotel PAID FOR by taxpayers.
Nevertheless . . .
Here is their side of the story . . .
"THE STUDY found that the South Loop Link's construction and operations would lead to $335.7 million in total economic output for Kansas City, and $379.1 million statewide, from direct, indirect and induced spending by 506,000 annual park visitors over the next 30 years."
An important caveat that even the most timid newsies must stipulate . . .
"Summaries from the study were included in the city's recent application to the Missouri Development Finance Board for $15 million in contribution tax credits. The Downtown Council of Kansas City commissioned the study."
