Scorched Pilot Barely Survives Kansas City Northland Plane Crash & Burn

Small aircraft put a man's life in BIG DANGER recently.

Here are the deets and KCPD helping in rescue efforts . . .

The plane had taken off from Liberty Landing Airport, located at 20424 E. Old 210 Highway.

The pilot was able to exit the plane and walk back to the airport.

The crashed aircraft proved challenging to locate, taking deputies and members of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department's helicopter over an hour to pinpoint its position in a cornfield.

Ultralight aircraft crashes near Liberty Landing Airport in Clay County; pilot suffers 'severe burns'
