I want everyone to know: Nobody is working harder than KCPD and our partners in trying to reduce violent crime. 

We're coming together for a citywide approach to violent crime. We're doing that every day. This will be something that people can see, something that will be published. Not only for our members but for others. 

I'm sure you didn't mean this yesterday . . . But to say that we're not going to do anything for the next three months. I read a couple of the comments on Tony's Kansas City which are ridiculous . . . Saying that because we don't have a written crime plan that we're not going to do anything for the next three months.

That completely minimizes the dedication, the response and the work that goes on with the men & women of the Kansas City Police Department.

I can tell you what KCPD is doing about violent crime.

We show up.

We're working in all three pillars: Intervention, Prevention & Enforcement.

I can't stress that enough . . .

The interview gets even better from that point.
