Kansas City Mayor Q Stays Losing Fight Against Crime & Clay County

As we approach the downhill slide of 2023, we notice that Mayor Quinton Lucas also confronts the threat of his own political demise.

To wit . . .

RISING CRIME AND KANSAS CITY ROYALS POSSIBLY MOVING TO NKC THREATEN TO ERODE POPULAR SUPPORT FOR MAYOR Q!!!

And so we share a glimpse into the future as these problems seem to go hand in hand . . .

Very soon the Kansas City Royals claim they'll make a decision on the location of their new stadium.

Leading up to this decision we have witnessed Northland politicos making a strong play for the team, they've launched marketing campaigns organizing voter support and encouraged overtures from Jeff City in support of the move.

Meanwhile . . . Kansas City proper has only, seemingly, committed to a smear campaign against Clay County voters and seems to be stuck in a holding pattern "waiting" for the Royals to make the first move.

The topic nobody wants to talk about and something only our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community is willing to address . . .

THREATS OF RISING CRIME WILL BE THE DETERMINING FACTOR IF KANSAS CITY ROYALS RELOCATE!!! TRAGICALLY, MAYOR Q OWNS THE DEADLIEST NUMBERS IN LOCAL HISTORY!!!

In fact . . .

Historic homicide numbers have defined Mayor Q's tenure in his first term and to start his second.

However . . .

Deadly crime and the threat of losing the Royals only start the downward spiral for Mayor Q.

Here's a glimpse at consequences . . .

IF MAYOR Q LOSES THE ROYALS AND DEADLY CRIME CONTINUES TO ESCALATE, LOOK FOR HIS POPULARITY & POWER TO VANISH!!!

The Royals leaving would be a public slap in the face.

It wouldn't matter so much to Exec Frank White given that we all know the guy has checked out and is playing golf for the remainder of his term.

However . . .

Mayor Q has told us all about his ambitions for the future and so many visits to and from the Beltway remind us that he's connected to the elite in our nation's capital.

Still . . .

The Mayor isn't immune to political setbacks and losing a Major League franchise whilst demonstrating an inability to control crime shouldn't inspire confidence amongst the competitive world of Democratic Party elites.

Let's not forget about council . . .

A mayor who can't keep at pro-team isn't "strong" at all and it's not to hard to imagine votes lining up against Mayor Q as his setbacks mount. Council has their own ambitions and agenda, a weak mayor is only one vote on the council and already we notice developers starting to talk about rising stars they're looking to support.

Caveat . . . This is just one option that confronts the Mayor.

As a lifelong KC resident . . . We hope the Royals stay put . . . And . . . We'd like the Mayor to rise to the occasion and garner success in the constant fight against crime.

The point of this post is merely to inform AWESOME TKC READERS that Mayor Q confronts very real challenges in the near future that will determine the course of his career and the fate of Kansas City.

For all of our sake  . . . We wish him luck.

Developing . . .
