Kansas City Westside originals don't have a lot of love for this place because their building boom flex'd on Sacred Heart Church and they haven't hired any of our cousins. On the other hand, the loyalty of most Westsiders can be purchased by way of a six pack and a smile . . . And we notice many community "leaders" getting buzzed at this popular locale.

In an overly crowded lineup, Blvd offers two stellar beers that provide an affordable luxury even amid rampant inflation. So we'll give them a pass and just snicker a bit when they tout their work against skyfall.

But being green at Boulevard comes easy . . . Its just part of the culture now.
We did a lot of green-type stuff before it was cool we had one of the first electric car charging stations in the area," Boulevard Brewerys head brewer Craig Pijanowski said. "We went solar. We do all the spent grain stuff. We have a green roof up top to keep the rainwater out of the sewer systems, which get overloaded. And also, we are a zero landfill facility. Nothing goes to the straight garbage.
