Kansas Rep. Sharice Police Ride-Along Contradicts GOP 'Defund' Criticism

Actually, we'd appreciate Rep. Sharice Davids taking a 2nd look at her position on community policing throughout her career . . . Here's a bit of promo and fair play criticism . . .

She said the goal was to learn more about the daily duties of local law enforcement and what federal resources they need to keep the community safe.

"It’s just important, I think, for someone in a federal position, I’m making decisions about resources and how federal resources are going to come back to our community," Davids said.

Last year, Davids secured funding for the Olathe Police Department and announced federal resources to hire more officers in Wyandotte County.

Remember . . . In 2021 a national GOP committee lodged this complaint . . . 

"(Rep.) Sharice Davids voted AGAINST condemning the radical Defund the Police movement and voted to make it harder for local law enforcement to protect their communities."
