Forgive yet another movie reference but most people are only familiar with GitMo because of an EXCELLENT 90s move and a classic soliloquy by Jack Nicholson's character which is indefensible but kinda makes a good point nevertheless.
Oh yeah . . . And even our favorite KC faith blogger only gives passing mention to the fact that Prez Obama campaigned on shutting down this alleged American torture facility but then quickly forgot about it like the rest of the voting public.
Credit to this longtime Kansas City newsman . . . He has a better memory and a cleaner conscience than most American presidents . . .
