This is a bad look for one of the most iconic entertainment districts in all of Kansas City.

Here's a peek at the situation getting tougher for the part of town that still hasn't recovered from "mostly peaceful" protests of 2020 . . .

"A suspect is at large after stealing several items from JD Sports, a shoe store on the Country Club Plaza, and shooting a store employee before fleeing the scene Friday night . . . The store employee was shot "in a lower extremity" and suffered non-life threatening injuries, per KCPD."

The incident took place in a store on West 47th Street between Wornall Road and Wyandotte Street in the Country Club Plaza.
