New Stadium Shenanigans Curse Kansas City Royals?!?

Forgive us for being superstitions this evening but there's a bad omen confronting the home team.

The curse we're considering tonight doesn't have anything to do with spirits, goblins, the occult or any dangers imagined by people too lazy to understand the real existential threat of rampant inflation.

Instead, we pose this critical question to our blog community of skeptics . . .

HAVE THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS CURSED THEIR FUTURE STADIUM BY OPERATING IN AN EXTREMELY SHADY MANNER?!?!?

Consider . . .

Nobody NEEDS to watch baseball. It's a fun distraction at best. The sport is fading across the nation, Kansas City Royals attendance is steadily ranking lower and greedy owners have erased the event from most meaningful television coverage. World Series ratings have declined for years on end.

In this digital age that has transformed into an "attention economy" it's clear that the most powerful form of currency is widespread adoration and love (or lack of a better word) from the pubic.

Accordingly . . .

It seems that the home team has soured scores of fans with their stadium shenanigans, hostile new ownership and, most importantly, abysmal play.

Sure, there are diehards who will love the Royals no matter what . . . But we're noticing a lot of empty seats, a sense of betrayal and not much excitement about the future.

Like it or not . . .

All of these considerations seem like shaky ground to build a new home.
