TAX FIGHTER PRESTON SMITH SHARES AN IMPRESSIVE LOOK AT PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENT HIKES THROUGHOUT JACKSON COUNTY!!!

Here's a quick guide to the data amid a process that seems slapdash & busted at best . . .

The red areas are where the Assessment Dept has increased the parcel values by more than 100% from 2021 to 2023. This is an area around Benton Blvd in the middle, Emanuel Cleaver Blvd to the south, and 71 Highway on the west.

The yellow parcels increased by 21% to 50%. Orange is an increase of 50-75% and darker orange 75-100%.

The dark green indicate only a 0-10% increase and the light green colors are a market value reduction.

The other neighborhood is where the million dollar homes are with State Line Rd to the west, 56 Highway to the north, and Brookside Blvd to the east. KCTV5 had already spotted this area around 57th St as where the Million dollar homes had low increases (that is the 3rd graphic).
