Kansas City Toy Train Supporters Silent Amid Streetcar FAIL

Locals often speak of "accountability" when discussing politics and municipal issues even when that idea/l remains illusory at best . . . Read: FAKE

Accordingly . . . This morning we ask . . .

WHERE ARE THE KANSAS CITY STREETCAR SUPPORTERS AND WHY AREN'T THEY DEFENDING THEIR BUSTED TOY TRAIN?!?

For instance . . .

Right now Staubio has been mostly quiet on Twitter despite his strident promotion of the KC Streetcar from its inception.

And let's not be too hard on the dude . . . At least he's out there front and center . . . Other streetcar advocates speak only in their social media bubble and won't dare talk with the public about the practicality of this sketchy mode of transit.

From our vantage . . .

The Kansas City 2023 Summer Of FAIL for the toy train streetcar proves critics correct. It's not REAL transit. It hasn't boosted biz and only exists because of rampant political corruption that FAILED to win a citywide vote and instead gerrymandered a secret ballot to sneak its way into existence.

And, just like so many TKC readers warned . . .

We're stuck with a big piece of junk.

Accordingly, here's more info on WEEKS of repair . . .

Repair work commenced early Thursday morning and will continue with multiple crews working around the clock until all work is complete and streetcar service resumed. Based on the current repair plan, work is estimated to take two to three weeks. The work will follow a phased approach:

Phase 1: Assessment, demolition, and slab preparation
(July 5 mobilization; July 6 start of Phase 1)

Phase 2: Rail welding and placement

Phase 3: Rail finishing and setting

Phase 4: Track slab pour and finishing

Phase 5: Curing, Testing, Resumption of Service
